Having said that, when I saw the reveal and gameplay and became aware of some of the changes, I was excited. And when I was younger, I played it over and over again. I end up playing it at least once a year. But these sentiments are not shared by enough people to honestly conclude that the remake, so far, is not what the community wanted.Īnd what's more alot of people who played the original like the remake. Yes, some fans wanted a remake that was closer to the original, and some didn't like other elements of the game, such as the changes to the plot or the manner in which some elements were handled (like slow walking or crawling to hide loading zones). If it wasn't what we wanted, it wouldn't have garnered such positive reviews and sales. So I don't know why you are asserting it's not what we wanted. If there is any metric to base an opinion upon regarding what fans wanted, it's the player reviews.
